Shalom and blessings.
A word from Rabbi Alex Yalenga

O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. Psalms 105:1

Here at the Zambia Messianic Fellowship, Jerome Fleischer Day school and Jerome Fleischer Orphanage, we give thanks to The Great God of Israel for so many things. Thank you to all those who came to stand with us as we advance the Kingdom here in Zambia. Thank you to all who support our work, thank you to all who gave and to all those who pray for us and thank you to all  our partners. We send our love and blessings in Yeshua’s name.
Zambia

With Rabbi Jay Ledbetter meeting the King of the Kaonde Chief Mumena and his wife. What an honor.
Zambia has 17 million people divided for the most part in 73 tribes. The Kaonde tribe has 368,000 people and we were privileged to meet Chief Mumena one of the kings of the Kaonde speaking Zambians. He is a lover of the God of Israel and of the Jewish people. He has invited us to go and preach the word among his people. Pray for this great leader and servant of the Living God.

Congregations
We have had a very busy and fruitful season here at Zambia Messianic Fellowship. New births, weddings, praise reports, open doors, weddings and immersions. We received wonderful teams from Israel and the USA.

Shimon and Sharon Yalenga were married at Beth Messiah Synagogue in Lusaka.

Was honored to mikveh (immerse) my third born daughter Gabriella who made  a public confession of her faith in Yeshua. We had 24 members of our congregation who were recently  mikvered (baptized)

Rabbi Jay Ledbetter teaching the two day leadership conference at Beth Messiah Synagogue in Lusaka, Zambia. Most leaders travelled from across Zambia for the conference.

Rabbi Alex and Pastor Bryan Klein immersing a new believer in Chinkuli.

Lemba Jewish outreach

Meeting the Lemba Jews and their leaders. We gave out Bibles and shoes to the children.
For I am not ashamed of the Good News, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who trusts—to the Jew first and also to the Greek. Rom 1:16
There are about 80,000 Lemba Jews in Southern Africa. Most of the African black Jews known as the Lemba are found in Zimbabwe, northern South Africa and western Mozambique. Some Lemba Jews moved to Zambia and the Lord has enabled us to reach out to them. Pray that we will plant a congregation and help these lost sheep of Israel to not only embrace their Jewish Messiah but hold on to their Jewish heritage.

Praise at our Chainda congregation

Children receiving shoes.

Mackenzie and Carmille from Idaho with Chinkuli children.
We hosted a wonderful team from Congregation 268, Idaho led by Pastor Bryan Klein. The team met the Queen of the Goba, prayed with her and spent some wonderful time with her at her official residency. The team also gave free shoes to hundreds of poor orphans and children, shared the gospel, led worship and even participated in the immersion of five new believers.
The Day School
Besides excelling with a 100{f867ed0a5269d3ff73e3962581c489613d212587fec1849d90b46f9dafc0d2f4} pass rate in the annual Zambian government examinations, our school has continued in being leader in academics in our school district and Zone. The school zone consists of 47 government and private schools. In the spelling quiz our school come out second out of 47 schools and is now headed for the quarter finals. Our boys football team is in first position at the moment in the ongoing football zone competition. We have about 166 children at the day school.
Thank you for all the wonderful sponsors who have brought hope, life and the gospel to these sweet little people.

Orphanage
We have 18 children at the orphanage and our newest is 9 year old Michelle who was abandoned and left alone in the cold. She is now in school and she has integrated well with the rest of the children.

Other News

We had children from the international school of Lusaka and their teachers visit our congregation to learn more on what a synagogue is all about.
We received three guitars for our Worship team from Meuchad based in Atlanta Georgia. Thank you Marc Vidito.
Scholarships – Graciousness Extended:
Upon graduation from the Day School, each child takes a required exam, to determine whether they will be selected to go further in school.  They will be able to attend a higher school if their scores are high enough and positions are available.  The great news is that our Day School students consistently get the highest scores in the exams, and almost all are selected to move to the higher levels.  The sad news is that these schools are not free.
Those schools have fees which must be paid before the child is permitted to enroll. In Zambia, these schools start in January and end in December, and the cost is $360/year for one child.    You can help these children break through the cycle of poverty, and continue their education in grades 8- 12.  A scholarship for all 5 years of their high school education would be $1,800.00.
We believe that these children are the future leaders of Zambia, and as godly men and women, they will turn this nation around.  So, you see why we are so eager to see each child go on into the upper levels.
Please consider sponsoring a child for a year of upper education at $360 per year.  Of course, we rejoice to receive all gifts of any amount, so we can make as many scholarships available as possible. ”
