A Word from Rabbi Alex
Where there is worry and anxiety, there is little room for happiness. And where there is no happiness, there lies a fettered soul.
What is the antidote to worry? Simple faith in our Great God.
Worry is the opposite of faith. It is the worship of the forces of nature, the dynamics of the market, the belief that these and mortal beings have power over your life.
On the other hand faith is the inner knowledge that there is really nothing else but His abundant love, flowing to you in ways most often far beyond your comprehension.
Faith is knowing that nothing touches His children without His permission. It is knowing that whatever is allowed to touch His children(good or bad) was meant to produce a positive spiritual effect.
The Almighty LOVES you with the life of His dear son Yeshua.
This is happiness: Life with Him alone.
Have a great day!
Shalom, Shalom

CONGREGATIONS

Bible Study
We are happy to introduce our newest partner congregation Penuel Messianic Jewish Congregation (PMJC) of Malawi. The Lord has allowed us to help in the formative stages of this wonderful congregation. Please do pray for growth and the move of the Ruach HaKadosh.
We also are mentoring another young Messianic congregation in southern Malawi and encouraging several others throughout the African continent.
Back in Zambia, our Chainda congregation has been driven out of their building and our old water well taken over by a prominent landowner and his family. The issue is been taken to the royal palace pending a date for the hearing.

Purim play at our congregation.

Missions

Our Chinkuli congregation has been subjected to incessant verbal assaults and threats by a local tribal leader and several villagers.

Flooding in some parts of Zambia

Our outreach has been affected in many ways by the floods in our mission field area. We are hoping to have a break and then resume the outreach esp. to the Lemba Jews of the central province.

Day School

One of our students at the Jerome Fleischer school showing his model home.

I am extremely excited to report that we have introduced another grade at our school. We now have first to ninth grades with almost 260 children.

We are welcoming our first graders too. Over 400 orphans from the Lilanda and Matero neighborhoods lined up at our school to enroll for first grade. We only had room for 30 children.

Lunchtime at the school.

This time our seventh graders did not meet the 100% pass mark as we recorded an 82.35% pass rate. This was due to many factors including the prolonged closure of all schools in Zambia due to COVID-19. We are however determined to retain our 100% pass rate.

We have also been able to start construction of more classrooms to accommodate the new grades that we have opened at our day school. Our prayer and hope are to have first to twelfth grades.

Construction of more classrooms.

Orphanage

Children’s wellbeing: Irrespective of the pandemic raging out there, our children at Jerome Fleischer Home have been very safe and healthy. As we celebrate this success we remember the grace of G-d towards His orphaned children; we are also very proud of our staff members for taking the prescribed pandemic measures to ensure the children’s safety.

  • We were recently blessed to have Iris, Isaac, and David joining the JFH children in 2020.

Coming to educational issues the children at the orphanage recorded a 100% pass rate in the Zambian final seventh-grade examinations. Thank you to all who stand and support our work.
