Fellowship & Ministry
Sue and Ron Darnell Visit Zambia
It was a joy and privilege to welcome Sue and Ron Darnell to Zambia for several days of fellowship, ministry, and encouragement. During their visit, they worshipped with our congregations, toured Jerome Fleischer School and Jerome Fleischer Home, met with staff and community members, and traveled to several Lemba Jewish congregations to witness the work being carried out across the country.
Their visit was filled with meaningful conversations, shared meals, worship, and opportunities to strengthen relationships with the people whose lives are being impacted through the support of MJAS. We are grateful for their time, encouragement, and commitment to the work in Zambia.

One family in faith
Visiting Our Congregations
As part of their visit, Sue and Ron traveled to several of our Lemba Jewish congregations, including Chibula, Chinkuli, Chainda, Rufunsa, Munengo, Chiwena, and Nambwa.
Each congregation warmly welcomed them with singing, worship, testimonies, and fellowship. The visits provided an opportunity to see firsthand the growth of these communities and to encourage local leaders who faithfully serve their congregations despite many challenges.
These visits remind us that although separated by thousands of miles, we are united as one family in faith. We thank every congregation for their wonderful hospitality and look forward to many more opportunities to grow together.

Education creates opportunity
Ten Children Receive University & College Scholarships
We are delighted to announce that ten youths from our orphanage and congregation have received sponsorship through the
Louis and Chira Kaplan Scholarship Program.
This sponsorship will help cover essential educational expenses, allowing these youths to continue their studies with confidence and hope for the future. Education remains one of the greatest investments we can make in a child's life, opening doors to opportunities that can transform families and communities.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who makes scholarships like these possible. Your generosity is changing lives one child at a time.

A joyful milestone
Celebrating Shiloh's Bat Mitzvah
This season marked a very special milestone as Shiloh celebrated her Bat Mitzvah.
Surrounded by family, friends, and members of the congregation, Shiloh stepped into this important stage of her spiritual journey with joy and confidence. The celebration included worship, blessings, and words of encouragement as the community gathered to celebrate her commitment to faith and her growing responsibility within the Jewish community.
We congratulate Shiloh on this significant occasion and pray that she continues to grow in wisdom, faith, and service.

Equipping the next generation
Entrepreneurship Training Empowers Young People
Our young people continue to benefit from the Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (EDI) training program, where they are learning practical business and financial skills that will prepare them for the future.
The training encourages creativity, problem-solving, budgeting, customer service, and small business management. By equipping participants with entrepreneurial knowledge, we are helping them develop the confidence and skills needed to create opportunities for themselves and contribute positively to their communities.
We are grateful to EDI and all those supporting this initiative for investing in the next generation of leaders and entrepreneurs.

Compassion in action
Sue and Ron Bless the Children with New Shoes
One of the most heartwarming moments of Sue and Ron Darnell's visit was the presentation of new shoes to the children at Jerome Fleischer Home.
Recognizing a practical need, Sue and Ron generously provided shoes for the children, bringing smiles, excitement, and a renewed sense of confidence. For many of the children, a new pair of shoes is more than just footwear. It is a reminder that they are loved, valued, and cared for.
The joy on the children's faces as they received their shoes was unforgettable. Their gratitude reflected not only the gift itself but also the kindness and compassion shown through this thoughtful act.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Sue and Ron for their generosity, their love for the children, and their continued support of the work in Zambia. Their gift will bless the children for months to come, helping them attend school, play, and go about their daily lives with comfort and dignity.
May God richly bless Sue and Ron for investing in the lives of these precious children.

Please keep Fay in your prayers as she travels to the United States for a short speaking tour from the 16th August to the 9th September.
During her visit, Fay will be sharing updates about the work taking place in Zambia, including the ministries of Jerome Fleischer School, Jerome Fleischer Home, our congregations, and the many lives being transformed through the support of MJAS.
We pray for safe travels, meaningful connections, and many opportunities to inspire others to partner with the work being done here in Zambia.

Growing communities
A Fourth Lemba Congregation is Established
We are excited to celebrate another significant milestone in the growth of our ministry with the establishment of our fourth Lemba congregation.
This new congregation represents more than just another place of worship. It is another community where people can gather to learn, worship, encourage one another, and preserve their unique Jewish heritage while growing in faith.
We thank God for His continued guidance and for every supporter whose prayers and generosity have made this growth possible. As the ministry continues to expand, we remain committed to strengthening congregations, developing leaders, and sharing hope throughout Zambia.
